The entire MICHELIN City Trekking tire range benefits from revolutionary Protek technology. The special Protek Compound rubber mix helps ensure the tire’s integrity from the first mile to the last, thanks to antioxidant ingredients and a reinforced architecture. Protek Plus combines this special Protek Compound rubber mixture with a protective reinforcement band under the tread (Protek Shield). For the ultimate in puncture protection, Protek Max technology incorporates an incredible 5mm thick Protek Shield, as well as an anti-pinch-flat design and cut-resistant sidewalls (Protek Reinforced). The new MICHELIN Pilot Sport tire, designed for urban fitness riding, incorporates new Protek HD (High Density) technology, using a special antipuncture reinforcement Michelin engineers eveloped through road racing.
