No Holds Barred Performance
Behind the deceptively simple "Dual Compound" name is a technology refined by Michelin in world championship motorcycle racing.
Dual Compound® technology is the combination of a soft 100% silica rubber on the tire's surface for optimized grip and mud shedding, and a harder rubber underneath to reinforce the knobs and to help resist punctures. The soft compound is in direct contact with the ground, while the harder compound is between the tread and the tire casing.
Grip advantage: No matter the trail conditions, Michelin Dual Compound off-road tires help deliver impressive grip. The difference when compared with conventional tires is remarkable. Cornering is confidence-inspiring and traction in all conditions is reliable and predictable.
Stiff tread: The harder rubber underneath helps increase the rigidity of the tread knobs, which resist deformation under hard acceleration. The super-stiff knobs also contribute to braking performance and control, because tread squirm is minimized.
Puncture resistance: The harder compound between the tread and tire casing also serves as added protection against flats, without increasing the overall weight of the tire. In fact, Michelin Dual Compound tires are just as light as conventional tires.
